Congregational Update | March 31, 2020

Gateway Church elders and leadership team are still closely monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 virus. We are committed to staying up-to-date in real-time (through the CDC and Arizona Department of Health), seeking God and following the safest protocol regarding our gatherings and events. We will continue temporarily canceling live gatherings at all of our physical locations until we feel it is the best, and safest, to resume. We plan to resume as soon as we are able. During this time, we are poised to maximize these moments by providing content and ministry in various and meaningful ways, and we understand the unique responsibility we have to both serve and protect our community. Continue to join us LIVE online each weekend at 10a. We love you and are praying for you and your families.

Congregational Update | March 12, 2020

Dear Gateway Members and Guests:

Gateway Church Elders and staff are committed to the safety and health of our congregation and community. We understand the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the ongoing seasonal flu virus and the common cold. News is changing rapidly and we are committed to staying up-to-date in real-time (through the CDC website and Arizona Department of Health), seeking God and following the safest protocol regarding our gatherings and events.

Our Gateway facilities team is very intentional about providing clean, sanitary, and safe environments for people to meet and worship God. We have enhanced our already-thorough cleaning procedures with hospital-grade sanitization supplies. This includes a comprehensive cleaning of all restrooms and various touchpoints (doorknobs, handles, water faucets, handrails, etc.). In addition, we will have facilities continually cleaned throughout and between each service. The children’s classrooms and toys are disinfected after each service by the Gateway Kids staff and volunteers at each campus.

While we realize no public environment is 100% safe, we take every precaution and safety measure possible and are diligent to ensure our professional cleaning crews are following the highest standards.

We encourage you to wash your hands frequently and to engage in non-touch greetings. If you are on the higher end of the age spectrum or have a compromised immune system, please make sure to pay attention to the recommendations of the CDC, take everyday precautions, limit close contact, and be wise in regards to your involvement around large crowds. Further details regarding those with high-risk complications can be found on the CDC website cdc.goc.

Following these preventative guidelines will serve as a measure of protection and promote the wellness of our congregation and community in the coming days.

For those of you who are leaning towards staying home this weekend, we will be streaming live online at at 10am Sunday at Gateway.Live.

We will continue to communicate as circumstances evolve. We love you and are praying for you and your families.

Thank you,
The Elders of Gateway Church
