Believing in Jesus

The path of following Jesus Christ is oftentimes a process that begins with an introduction to who He is. If you haven’t yet been introduced, please allow us the honor…

Who is Jesus?

The ultimate love story

We believe that the Bible is more than an ancient or even a holy book. Woven through every page and every passage of the Bible we find God’s story: His passionate pursuit of humanity. From the very beginning, God’s desire was to be in relationship with His creation. A relationship based on our free will to choose Him.

Yet throughout history, we chose our own way and not His. Our choices, our sin, separate us from Him. This separation could not be bridged by good deeds, or any human efforts.

But God had a plan to restore His relationship with humanity, and that plan was Jesus.

Jesus came to earth to bridge the chasm that separated us from God. Jesus lived a sinless life and in the greatest act of love, He ultimately died to pay the penalty for our sins. A penalty we could not pay. Jesus willingly laid down his life to make a way for you and I to have a relationship with God. And the good news is that Jesus did not stay dead. Death could not hold the greatest force of love. Jesus rose from the dead, completing his earthly mission.

Jesus bridged the gap and now we can live in full relationship with God. This story of Jesus is not one of judgment or condemnation, but a story of love. No matter how far you feel from God, the truth is that he has been pursuing you throughout eternity. He loves you unconditionally. There is nothing you could ever do to earn His love, or nothing you could do that would cause him to take it away. The only thing we must do is accept that love. We must accept the sacrifice that Jesus paid. The Bible says that anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Below is a simple prayer that you can pray to accept God's free gift of salvation:

Dear God,

I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe He gave his life, so my sins might be forgiven and I could have relationship with you.

I believe you raised Him from the dead. I know that He is the only way to you and the only way to receive eternal life in Heaven.

I ask you to be the Lord of my life. Teach me to walk with you and live for you every day of my life.

Romans 5:6-11

When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
