Altar Ministry & Prayer
Just as the Levites served as conduits for God’s love for their people, we believe that prayer and supplication are spiritual gifts from God. If you have a special heart to serve in this capacity, we encourage you to join us in prioritizing prayer for our church, our leadership and staff, and most importantly, for our body of believers and visitors during weekend services and other events. We humbly desire to create a safe place for intercessory prayer where anyone may come, lay their burdens down at the feet of Jesus, and receive prayer over them by our trained prayer warriors.
Guest Experience | GXP
At Gateway, we are truly all about people. From first-time visitors to our faithful Gateway family, we want each and every person who visits our home to feel welcomed, included, and comfortable in their time spent with us. To make this happen, it takes a special group of outgoing, loving, caring, and friendly individuals who have a gift to reach out and connect. Whether serving as an usher during weekend services, greeting and welcoming at the door, pouring warm coffee and having conversation, or working behind the scenes to help ensure things run smoothly, there are many ways that you can help create the best experience for our visitors and family as we seek to connect them to the heart of God.
The heart of worship at Gateway is to provide an intimate and protected space where one can experience God in the greatest way possible. We hold this servanthood with utmost regard because we believe that through worship we are responsible to act as “priests” and create a direct connection to the heart of God for our church. Worship is a beautiful and sacred space, where we open our hearts and experience the fullness of God, in the most meaningful way that He has for us individually and as a connected family. We recognize that God has equipped people at our church to lead in this area, and so we welcome those that are interested in leading worship services to step in, learn more about the rewarding responsibilities of a worship leader calling, and enter into the process of joining an anointed priesthood.
Are you blessed with the gifts of creativity, design, or communication? Opportunities to build community through interactive connectivity and to minister to our body of believers include graphic design, video production, website development and social media interactions. Effective communication fosters unity, ministry and understanding, which all point to the heart of Gateway’s vision, mission and values.
Technical Arts | TA
Use your gifts to facilitate an atmosphere of worship and the Word, a vital element of our services as we join together to seek the heart of God at Gateway. From audio and sound, to lighting, to running the video announcements, sermon notes, song lyrics, or directing the behind-the-scenes of the service, the Technical Arts (TA) team is an essential part of the ministries that work in unison to allow us to attend to the hearts of every individual participating in our services.
Before we knew Him, He knew us and called us by name. We love, because He first loved us. These truths describe the heart and mission of Gateway’s Outreach ministry, which is to serve the lost and hurting by bringing dignity to their lives. We do this by empowering and equipping our church members to act as Jesus’ hands and feet to the men, women and children of the Valley who live their lives outside of our four walls. Through relationship, friendship, and meeting people where they’re at, we can begin to learn the heart that God has not only for us, but for those whom He has called to Him, in order to bring them up from despair, trouble and hardship.
Through the launch of our Mobile Ministry program, which utilizes fully-equipped mobile units to provide basic amenities like haircuts, showers, and clean clothing to those in need, our goal is to restore a sense of self-worth and value to our brothers and sisters.
The Embrace Grace program seeks to provide pregnancy resources and support systems for girls and women within a loving Christian community so that these women have opportunities to be known and cared for. Our Club Outreach volunteers minister to women who have been commercially sexually exploited by simply being a friend, building relationships and trust, and showing up, just as Jesus showed up for us. We love because He first loved us, and that is enough for our feet to move.
